The Craftsman

Not a repair.
A complete restoration.

Ryan Michael Fahy has spent more than two decades at the bench. Every clock he services is fully disassembled — down to every gear, spring, pivot, and screw. What is worn gets replaced. What cannot be sourced gets fabricated by hand.

No other mechanical clock restorer operates within roughly 90 minutes of Pikeville. The NAWCC national repair index lists exactly one Kentucky entry, in far western Kentucky. The Atelier is the only answer for the tri-state region.

"A clock is never just a mechanism. It carries memory. The restoration honours both the craft and the story behind the piece."

How It Works

From first contact to finished piece.

01

Describe Your Piece

Submit the inquiry below with a description and photographs. Ryan reviews every inquiry personally and calls within 24 hours.

02

The Call

A conversation with the craftsman. He asks about the piece; you ask about cost and process. A starting estimate is provided before anything is scheduled.

03

Complete Restoration

Every movement disassembled completely. Springs replaced. Parts fabricated when needed. The work takes the time the work requires.

04

Return & Follow-Up

The piece returns with documentation of the work performed. The relationship does not end at the bench. Ryan remains available.

Don't know
what's wrong?
That's normal.

Most people who contact Ryan have no idea what the problem is or what it will cost. Neither is a problem. Describe the piece, send a photograph, and Ryan calls within 24 hours with straight answers.

No commitment until you decide to proceed. No automated estimates. A craftsman picks up the phone.
