Important: Contact Before Shipping

Do not ship a clock before submitting an inquiry. Ryan will confirm the piece is appropriate for mail-in service and provide packing guidance specific to your movement. Improperly packed movements arrive damaged.

The Mail-In Process
01
Submit Your Inquiry

Describe the clock and what you need. Include photos of the movement, case, and any visible damage. Ryan will confirm mail-in is appropriate for your piece.

02
Receive Packing Instructions

Ryan provides packing guidance specific to your movement type before you ship. General instructions follow below, but specific guidance matters for unusual movements.

03
Pack and Ship

Follow the packing guidance and ship to the address provided. Insure the package for replacement value. Use a carrier that provides tracking and requires a signature on delivery.

04
Receive Estimate and Proceed

After the movement is received and inspected, Ryan provides a full estimate. You approve before any work begins. Return shipping is arranged and quoted at that stage.

General Packing Principles

These principles apply broadly. Specific guidance may vary by movement type and will be provided at inquiry.

Pack it once, pack it right.
Mail-In Service

Pack it once, pack it right.

A mechanical movement is delicate in transit. Proper packing protects the piece from the bench to your door and back again.
